There are 5 resources.  
   1st Judicial District Court
District Courts are responsible for many criminal and civil cases, such as contract disputes, personal injury claims, real property disputes, dissolution of marriage, parenting plans, mental health commitments, wills and estates, juveniles and felony crimes. The District Court also hears appeals from Justice or City Court decisions. District Court decisions can be appealed to the Montana Supreme Court.
  
   
   East Helena City Court
City Courts are the only courts with authority to decide cases involving violations of local laws. City Courts also decide limited kinds of civil and criminal cases including: contract disputes, personal injury claims, protective orders, traffic violations, property rights disputes with damages less than $7,000, small claims cases with damages less than $3,000, and misdemeanors. City Court decisions can be appealed to District Court.
  
   
   Lewis and Clark County Clerk of District Court
The Clerk of District Court provides the public with access to the records of District Court cases including: felony criminal cases, probate and guardianship proceedings, divorce and custody cases, and other kinds of civil cases. The Clerk of District Court is responsible for setting the schedule for district court hearings. The Clerk of District Court also issues and records marriage licenses.
