Free Online Civil Court Forms for Montana (Complete List)

Find all of our free online civil court forms below. The online forms will write legal documents based on the information you give in an interactive interview. Depending on the form, they take 10 to 90 minutes to complete. When you’re done, you’ll need to download, print, and file the forms with the Clerk of Court and/or send them to the other party in your case. The forms come with instructions to help you file them and serve the other party. You can complete most of these forms on a smart phone but you’ll need to print them out. At the end of the forms, you’ll have the option to save them to a secure website or email them to yourself for later.

Divorce

• Petition for Dissolution of Marriage without Children (ask the court for a divorce when you and your spouse don’t have any children under 18 together).
• Petition for Dissolution of Marriage with Children (ask the court for a divorce and parenting plan when you and your spouse have children under 18 together).

Parenting

• Petition for Parenting Plan (ask the court to establish a court-ordered visitation schedule for your children that both parents must follow).
• Notice of Intent to Move (notify the court and the other parent that you are moving when the court has already ordered a Parenting Plan).
• Registration of a Foreign Order (ask the court to decide that Montana should have jurisdiction to enforce your parenting or custody order from another state).
• Petition for Name Change (ask the court to change your or your child’s name).
• Petition for Guardianship of a Minor (ask the court to make you the guardian of a child under 18).
• Motion for Interim Parenting Plan (ask the court to order a temporary Parenting Plan both parents must follow until a Final Parenting Plan is established) 
• Motion to Amend Parenting Plan (ask the court to change the Parenting Plan that’s in place now)
• Petition to Enforce Parenting Plan (ask the court to force the other parent to follow your Parenting Plan and punish the other parent for failing to follow the court’s order)
